Responsible Sourcing and Sustainability

Having been a scuba diver since I was 14 and spending most of my life living within the natural beauty of the English countryside, I'm passionate about making jewellery with a low environmental footprint. To ensure this value is embedded within my business model and the products I send to you, I have partnered up with my sister Chloe - who just happens to also be a marine conservation expert. Chloe has been running marine conservation programmes as the Executive Director of The Reef-World Foundation since 2008, helping businesses just like mine to identify where their practices might carry environmental risk, and supporting us to find more sustainable ways to do things.

These are some of the things I'm already doing to make sure my jewellery isn't just pleasing to the eye, but also pleasing to the natural world around us.

  • My packaging (boxes, wrapping paper, tissue paper and ribbon) is all eco friendly.
  • I buy recycled silver where possible.
  • I save all of my offcuts to be melted down and recycled.
  • My jewellery is made to last, and although I strive to create affordable pieces they are all individually hand made and not mass produced, following the ‘slow fashion movement’. It is absolutely not part of the fast fashion throw away culture.

Sustainability is something I'm very committed to and invested in, but I also recognise we can always do more. If you have any ideas to help me to further my sustainability mission, please do let me know!
